Japan Air Self Defense Force (JASDF) F-15 inaugural oversea trip to the Philippines
The Philippine Air Force (PAF) conducted unit-to-unit activities with the Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF) in Clark Air Base, Pampanga which aims to enhance the bilateral ties between the two services.
Two F-15 fighters, Multiple Kawasaki C-2 and KC-767 including personnel of the JASDF visited Clark Air Base for unit-to-unit exchanges were conducted with the
PAF.
Maj. Gen. Matsuzaki Yuki, Commander of Southwestern Air Control and Warning Wing, JASDF, and Maj. Gen. Takahashi Hideo, Vice Commander of Western Air Defense Force, JASDF rendered a joint courtesy call on the commanders of major units based in Clark Air Base. Both Maj. General Matsuzaki and Maj. Gen. Takahashi were both former Defense Attaches to the Philippines.
This is the first visit of JASDF fighters to any country in the ASEAN region. The unit-to-unit exchange aims to promote mutual understanding and develop defense cooperation and exchanges with PAF.
Ages is honored to have been selected to support this maiden visit of the JASDF F-15 and be of service to the Kawasaki C-2 an advanced military transport aircraft designed and manufactured by Japan-based Kawasaki Heavy Industries (KHI) and JASDF KC-767 a military aerial refueling and strategic transport aircraft developed from the Boeing 767-200ER.
